WKU Libraries awards Connie Foster Student Scholarships to Jolie Finley and Andy Cheng

Two WKU students, Jolie Finley and Andy Cheng, have been awarded the Connie Foster Student Scholarship for the 2021-22 academic year.
Finley is a junior from Bowling Green, Kentucky, pursuing a degree in English with minors in Gender & Women’s Studies and Spanish. She has worked in the Beulah Winchel Education Library for over two years as a student assistant in the circulation area. Finley is an honors student and provides English tutoring for the Student Support Services at WKU. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, Finley plans to pursue a postgraduate degree.
Cheng is a junior who lives in Brentwood, Tennessee, pursuing a degree in Accounting with minors in Economics and Applied Data Analytics. He has worked in the Helm-Cravens Library for over two years as a security patroller and a circulation assistant. Cheng is an honors student, involved in several groups including, Gordon Ford College of Business Student Ambassador, the Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honors Society with leadership roles, the WileyPLUS Student Partner, Becker Student Ambassador, Beta Gamma Phi International Diversity Fraternity, and American Institute of CPA Student Members. Upon completing his undergraduate degree, Cheng plans to complete his Master’s degree in Accounting and become a Certified Public Accountant.
“We are pleased to offer student scholarships to our library assistants each year,” said Susann deVries, Dean of WKU Libraries. “Through the generous support of our donors, this endowment contributes to student success.”
