Groups partner to host trip to Space & Missile Defense Symposium

This week, Kentucky Association of Manufacturers (KAM), Advantage Kentucky Alliance (AKA), World Trade Center Kentucky (WTC-KY) and Indiana Defense Network partner to host Kentucky and Indiana manufacturers on a trip to the Space & Missile Defense Symposium (SMD) in Huntsville, Alabama.
The event is taking place August 9-12. SMD is the premier education, professional development and networking event for aerospace and defense manufacturers. Those attending will have the opportunity to meet leaders and professionals from the U.S. and its allies around the world while interacting with game-changing technologies and products in the sector. Additionally, the symposium will also look ahead to what is on the horizon for the space and missile defense industry
The Kentucky and Indiana delegation of attendees will take part in a Delegation Dinner, hosted by the Invention to Innovation Center at the University Alabama Huntsville and Prudent American on August 9. Major General Omer Clif Tooley, Jr., (Ret)., President of Defense Development for the State of Indiana will serve as the guest speaker at the Delegation Dinner.
This event will continue strengthening Kentucky’s ties to the aerospace and defense industry. Working with the Indiana Defense Network will make Kentucky and the surrounding states appealing for cutting-edge companies looking to develop and grow the industry’s footprint.
