Domestic Violence Awareness Month activities begin Oct. 5

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Activities at WKU will begin Tuesday (Oct. 5) with a kickoff event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Downing Student Union Courtyard.
The event will include the Silent Witness Exhibit as well as information tables from the WKU Counseling Center and other campus and community resources.
Other activities during the month include the following:
- DVAM Grocery Bingo, 6-8 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 6) at the Preston Center’s multipurpose room
- Handling Disclosures of Interpersonal Violence, an Office of Student Conduct Lunch and Learn for faculty and staff, noon-1 p.m. Oct. 12; register online
- In Their Shoes: Living with Domestic Violence Interactive Program, 5:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at Downing Student Union, room 3024
- The Good, The Bad & The Ugly: Healthy Relationships, a Counseling Center Lunch and Learn for students, noon Oct. 19; register online
