Higher EDquity Conference
- Tuesday, October 12th, 2021
Good morning, WKU Faculty & Staff!
As you know, WKU will be hosting the 2021 Higher EDquity Symposium, sponsored by the State Council on Post-secondary Education, November 15th& 16th. Participation is open to all Kentucky faculty, staff, and students. The 2021 symposium will focus on the components for creating a culturally competent environment for faculty, staff, and students; minimum competencies for graduating culturally competent students prepared to enter the workforce; and other emerging topics relevant to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Again, if you are doing research in this area, the Call for Proposals has been posted. There is a short turn-around, so if you are interested in presenting, please act now – they are due Oct. 22, by 4p.m. Submit your proposals here (http://cpe.ky.gov/higheredquity/proposals.html).
Don’t want to present? That’s fine, too! Since the conference sessions will be held at right here at WKU, November 16, from 9am-3:45pm, please consider attending the conference, even if you are not interested in presenting. If you can only come to part of the conference because of classes or other obligations, that’s okay, too! For a tentative agenda and registration, click here (http://cpe.ky.gov/higheredquity/).
Hope to see you there!
