1. Why did you choose the Forensic Psychology concentration?
I felt it would give me the tools to better handle a career as a federal officer/investigator.
2. What experience(s) have you had during your years as a WKU student that have helped or is helping you prepare for a career after graduation?
Working in Dr. Mel Baker’s PLEA Lab has shown me real world application for forensic psychology. Also, classes I have taken at WKU such as Abnormal Psychology and Developmental Psychology have shown me how crime may be directly related to psychological causes.
3. How have you applied what you are learning in the Forensic Psychology concentration?
Working in the PLEA lab has been one of my prominent experiences. It will also be crucial for career and real-world applications.
4. What do you hope to do after graduation?
I want to work in a career in federal service such as the FBI or Department of State.
5. What advice do you have for future forensic psychology concentration students?
Don’t be afraid to reach out and find new opportunities. Also remember, your professors and mentors are your best friends when it comes to finding new ways to hone your skills and get new opportunities.
