Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship
The Goldwater Scholarship provides scholarship support to undergraduate sophomores and juniors who show promise of becoming research leaders in STEM fields. Goldwater alumni can be found conducting research that is helping defend the nation, finding cures for catastrophic diseases and teaching future generations of scientists, mathematicians and engineers.
The award provides support for tuition, room and board, books, and fees. Sophomores who win the scholarship receive up to $7,500 in each of their junior and senior years; juniors who win the scholarship receive up to $7,500 in their senior year. The campus deadline for applications is the first Wednesday in January. After review, a campus committee designates the institution's nominees, whose final application submission is due the last Friday in January.
