Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement Staff

Carol Cummings began her career at Western Kentucky University in 1997 as Director of Development for the University Libraries and the Kentucky Museum at WKU.  Prior to moving to WKU, Carol had served for five years as Director of Allocations and Agency Relations and a member of the campaign staff at the United Way of Southern Kentucky.  With the creation of a new division at WKU, Carol was able to combine her experience in fundraising with her love for writing.  She currently serves as Director of Communication for the Division of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement and as Editor of WKU SPIRIT, the University’s alumni magazine. She graduated from WKU in 1992 with a degree from the nationally recognized School of Journalism & Broadcasting.
