Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement Staff

Laura F. Smith joined the WKU Alumni Association in 2015 as the Assistant Director for Alumni Resources.  In this role, Laura worked to increase the WKU Alumni Association’s engagement with alumni and implemented new and innovative benefits of Association membership. She is now serving as the Associate Director of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement. Before joining WKU, she served as the Executive Director of the Franklin Simpson Educational Excellence Foundation for nine years.  She is a member of the Franklin Business and Professional Women Organization and the Franklin-Simpson Chamber of Commerce.  Laura serves on the Franklin-Simpson Planning and Zoning Board of Directors. She graduated from WKU in 1990 with a B.S. in Agriculture.
