Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement Staff

Clayton Higdon, an Owensboro native, graduated from WKU in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with a minor in Business Administration. He then attended the WKU Graduate School and completed a master’s degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration in 2017. Following graduation, Clayton began working in Athletics with the Hilltopper Athletic Foundation on campus. While at HAF, he primarily worked with the Annual Fund, special events and game days.

In 2020, he moved to Austin, Texas, after accepting a position with the University of Texas. During this two-year stretch, he worked in University Advancement, striving to constantly improve data integrity as it relates to giving campaigns.

In July 2022, Clayton joined Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement as the Assistant Director of Strategy and Appeals. He is excited to be back home on the Hill and is looking forward to showcasing the full potential of WKU’s giving programs while finding creative ways to achieve the University’s goals in this role.
