Board of Regents Members

Gary Broady is the Executive Director of the Bluegrass Community Bankers. Originally from Glasgow, KY, Broady earned his B.S. in Accounting and his M.B.A. at Western Kentucky University. He retired as the CEO in 2020 from Franklin Bank & Trust Company after 38 years of employment. Currently, he is the Chair of the Franklin Bank & Trust Company Board of Directors and the Franklin-Simpson Industrial Authority. Gary is also a member of the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Medical Center at Franklin Board of Directors, the Arts of Southern Kentucky Foundation Board, and the WKU Finance Advisory Council.

Previously, Broady was the President of WKU Alumni Association Board, the Chair of WKU Business Executive Advisory Council, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Hilltopper Athletic Foundation.Gary Broady has been actively involved in his community. He previously volunteered his time by serving as a member of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers & Big Sisters for Warren County, a member of the Rotary and Lions Clubs, a member of Franklin-Simpson Renaissance Board of Directors, a Chair of the United Way of Southern Kentucky for Simpson County, and a Chair for the Finance Committee for Franklin First United Methodist Church.

Gary and his wife, Gail, reside in Franklin, KY. They have one daughter, Beth. His term on the Board ends on June 2028.
