About Student Activities

Student Activities... Where Students Come To Life!

Being a college student is about finding opportunities to learn about one's self, whether in or out of the classroom.  Students who take advantage of opportunities to become involved at WKU graduate from our institution at a higher rate than the ones who do not.  The Department of Student Activities works to provide co-curricular activities for those who want to become involved at Western Kentucky University.  Whether it is a student organization, student government, leadership programs, campus wide programming, Downing Student Union (DSU) activities, or volunteerism programs, there is something for each student who wants to become involved.

Student organizations at Western Kentucky University provide an incredible opportunity to meet new people, build leadership and event planning skills, share ideas, and make connections across campus. WKU is the home to nearly 200 student organizations providing opportunities for students to engage with a wide variety of interests and activities.  This involvement can provide students with:

  • a foundation for success
  • a passion for learning
  • a commitment to responsible global citizenship
  • outlets to foster creativity and service to others.

Browse the current list of registered student groups to find a group that is the right fit for you.Categories include Campus Ministries, Departmental, Fraternity, General, Honors, Intramural-Recreation, Professional, Service, Sorority, and Student Representatives. The Department of Student Activities is happy to help if you have any questions or need additional information. The Student Activities offices are located on the second floor of the Downing Student Union in 2059. We invite you to contact us at any time!

Aside from Student Organizations, the Department of Student Activities is also home to the following team members:
