Join Dr. Rachel Campbell and NASA on a cosmic road trip across our vast Solar System – all from the comfort of Earth! NASA spacecraft will be heading for key locations during the Year of the Solar System from October 2010 until August 2012 – a Martian year that encapsulates almost two Earth years of exciting mission events. These 23 months of exploraration by robotic tourists will reveal the familiar objects of our solar system as new worlds through new discoveries, from our own moon to the outmost parts of our solar neighborhood. In this presentation we will be discussing the current status of this initiative and NASA’s plans for rest of its year of the Solar System. Come and see our Solar System as it’s never been viewed before!
Suitable for all ages, please note that the show will begin on time and the doors will remain closed for approximately 45 minutes with time for questions at the end of the presentation.
