2011 Freshman Assembly on Tuesday, September 6, at 6:00PM in Diddle Arena. 

This year’s assembly will focus on the “value” of education.  Every freshman in attendance will receive a lapel pin during the ceremony.  This pin signifies the beginning of your college experience, and it reads, “WKU 2011: The Beginning…”  It also has an image of the Guthrie Tower in the center. The ceremony will end at approximately 6:45 p.m. 

Immediately after the ceremony, there will be FREE FOOD available on the South Lawn beginning including Pepsi products and hot dogs provided by Aramark food services. There will be live music at this “after party” as well.

This ceremony will serve as a bookend to your graduation ceremony sometime in the future.  Our hope is that you can wear this pin on your graduation day and reflect on your journey from this Freshman Assembly to your graduation from WKU.

All freshmen are expected to attend unless you have a night class on Tuesday.  Please come and enjoy the ceremony, free food, and the music.  See you on September 6!
