This statewide summit will provide school districts with an understanding of the USDOL K-12 Teacher and K-12 Principal Registered Apprenticeship and the step-by-step process to establish viable apprenticeship programs in their own districts.

- Presentation of the newly created USDOL K-12 Principal Registered Apprenticeship.
- Discussion of the “Classified-to-Certified” pathway for current classified district employees in addition to the Teaching and Learning CTE pathway for high school students.
- Small group break-out sessions for in-depth conversation around specific topics of interest.
- Description of how WKU, as a recently approved apprenticeship sponsor, can facilitate your apprenticeship paperwork (e.g., application, recordkeeping, reporting, etc.).
- Opportunities for live Q & A and connection with individuals who can discuss individual district needs and considerations.

- The USDOL requirements and expectations for registered apprenticeships and what resources are needed to achieve them.
- The components of a registered teacher and principal apprenticeship pathway
- Steps to developing a K-12 Teacher or K-12 Principal Work Process and Related Instruction Plan tailored to your specific school district.
- Steps to partnering with a university education preparation program to implement an apprenticeship completion pathway.
