Scholar's Bowl


 Upward Bound Scholar's Bowl is a quick recall academic team competition for UB  and UB Math & Science students.  Competitions consists of a round robin format with multiple rounds lasting 30 minutes or 60 questions. The WKU Scholar's Bowl teams competes against other Kentucky Upward Bound teams at the annual Kentucky TRIO Day competition.

2019 was a successful year for the WKU Scholar's Bowl team. The WKU UB team placed second in the state. One WKU UB student, Sylas Morris, qualified for the Kentucky All-Star Scholar's Bowl team.

Scholar's Bowl activities were suspended during the 2020-21 school year due to the pandemic. Be on the lookout for 2021-2022 Scholar's Bowl information in the fall. All participants are invited to take the Scholar's Bowl qualifying exam each fall. Team members work to build their cultural literacy and general knowledge in a positive environment.
