Dr. Orlando Kelm, Associate Director for Business Language Education at the Center for International Business Education and Research at the University of Texas Austin, will give a presentation about global competency. He will discuss strategies for becoming more aware of cultural differences, and share models for communicating across cultures and in global contexts. Attendees are welcome to gather at 4 p.m. for refreshments preceding the lecture.

Join the Native Student Association for a free screening of We Were Children, a Canadian film about residential school systems (boarding homes) and their impact on a culture.
The film will follow after an introduction by Marley Shebala, the Native American journalist, one her experience in a US boarding home.
Afterward, join a discussion on the film and ideas on assimilation.
