This exhibit tells the stories of freshmen year from participants in a student success intiative, WKU Freshmen Guided Pathway (FGP). This cohort of first-time, full-time students who graduated from one of five high schools in Warren County represent the typical WKU freshman in terms of academic achievement prior to admission and their demographic makeup.

WKU’s Cultural Enhancement Series and the Kentucky Museum host award winning artist Patrick Dougherty in October 2018 on WKU’s campus in Bowling Green, Ky. Dougherty created Highbrow, a sculpture made from intertwined tree saplings, on the Museum's front lawn.

Primarily featuring textiles from the Kentucky Museum and Kentucky Historical Society, Whitework: Women Stitching Identity explores the significance of early white embellished textiles that have been largely ignored, undervalued, and misinterpreted.

WKU Art Department and AIGA Nashville will host a virtual lecture by Britt Davis, Senior Designer for the Atlanta Falcons, as part of Interconnected, a statewide lecture series for 2020-21. This year's focus is Black Voices in Design. More: Event details and registration information

About Britt Davis

Born and raised in the artsy city of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Britt Davis has always been drawn to the arts. From building intricate LEGO sets to drawing sneakers from Eastbay magazine, her childhood was full of creativity and design. Today, Britt's designs are fueled by creative innovation and driven by the opportunity to use design as a platform to inspire others.
 
Britt is an Alumna of North Carolina State University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Industrial design and still enjoys participating in Alumni Association events. She went on to earn her Master of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. Her educational accolades are matched by her professional experiences, which include designing for ESPN, Viacom, SB Nation, WNBA, NASCAR, multiple universities and professional sports teams, and individual athletes.
 
Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work on a variety of creative projects in product design, print, UI, illustration and identity. Britt has been working in professional sports in Atlanta since 2015, most recently as a Senior Graphic Designer with AMB Sports+Entertainment.
