Website Updates

The Web Development team has updated the WKU website and released new features for OU Campus users. No immediate action is necessary from web content creators or site managers, editable content of pages will not change.
Changes:
- Homepage Redesign - A refreshed homepage design featuring graphic parallax backgrounds, scrolling animation effects, and recruitment focused content.
- New Navigation, Header, and Footer - New mobile first full-screen navigation and new footer layout, both focused on search and promoting marketing pillars.
- Font Awesome 5 - Updated Font Awesome to version 5. This includes thousands of new icons in 3 different styles - solid, light, and regular.
- Icons - Font Awesome Gadget - A new gadget available in the sidebar to search available icons, set optional styles, and insert onto your page quickly and easily.
- Components - A new OU Campus feature, components are a form-based type of reusable content that gather information and add it into complex design elements.
Available Components: - Button Link - New! Replaces the advanced edit method and accepts a font awesome icon.
- Calendar Feed - Replaces php code assets.
- Countdown - Replaces snippet.
- Heading Rule with Text - Replaces snippet.
- News Feed - Replaces php code assets.
- Staff Member - New! Displays one staff member. Specify an email or a randomly selected staff member will be displayed.
- Quote - New! Generates a pull quote with citations.
- Web Page Embed - New! Embed another webpage responsively.
- YouTube Embed - Replaces snippet.
- YouTube Modal - Replaces snippet.
Over the coming months add-on feed assets, Font Awesome icons using the old method, and snippets that have been replaced by components will be deprecated. OU Campus users will receive communication in advance regarding deadlines and steps to replace them.
