Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumbs are a type of navigation that lets the user know their current location on the website. They can be edited using the _breadcrumbs.pcf file in your site. Breadcrumbs are displayed above the top navigation and are seperated by a slash (/), WKU is added as the first item by default and links to the homepage.

You can add more breadcrumbs to sub-folders of your site. The first breadcrumb in your list should be your site's homepage. As you move deeper into your site, continue to add breadcrumbs, matching the structure of the folders and pages. The breadcrumbs on this page let us know that we are in the underscore files section, of the web CMS template example site, on the WKU website.

Editing Breadcrumbs

Like the top and side navigations, breadcrumbs are edited as a bulleted list in the WYSIWYG editor. Only bulleted lists and links are allowed, other content will be removed.
