Supporting Students, Empowering Families at the Suzanne Vitale Clinical Education Complex (CEC)

The Suzanne Vitale Clinical Education Complex (CEC) at WKU is committed to helping students of all ages, from early learners to college students, develop the skills they need to succeed. We focus on supporting individuals with autism and other neurodiversities through a variety of programs designed to improve communication, social skills, and overall quality of life.

The CEC is a place where families can find support and understanding as they navigate challenges that others may not fully recognize. Through partnerships with WKU academic programs and local organizations, we offer resources and services to help individuals reach their full potential.

Each year, the CEC serves hundreds of individuals and families, providing vital services for the community through a range of programs tailored to meet the needs of children, school-age kids, and college students. We invite you to explore our programs and become part of the CEC community.

Our Programs: Supporting Students, Empowering Families

  • The Renshaw Early Childhood Center advances the development and learning potential of toddlers and preschoolers of all abilities while simultaneously collaborating with other WKU academic programs to provide hands-on training to future educators.
  • The Speech-Language Intervention Program provides thorough assessments and treatments to address a variety of communication needs, including speech, language, pragmatics, fluency, and voice.
  • The Kelly Autism Program's Circle of Support ensures neurodivergent WKU students receive the academic, social, and professional guidance necessary to succeed and thrive as active, engaged members of the community.
  • The Kelly Autism Program's Prime Time is an after-school environment for school-age children focused on nurturing social and language skills while helping children build meaningful connections through group activities.
