Master of Science in Cybersecurity Data Analytics
The Cybersecurity Data Analytics Master's Program is the study of cybersecurity defenses using data analytics to support the principles of data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
In this program, students will learn to proactively defend the enterprise's security by applying data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI). Students will study the breadth and depth of cybersecurity attacks and defenses and also learn about cybersecurity policies and compliance issues. They will also learn the latest techniques in data management, data mining models, and data visualization.
The program is comprised of seven 3-credit hour core classes and three electives selected from one of the five concentrations:
- Local Government Administration (CDLG)
- Organizational Communication (CDOC)
- Healthcare Administration (CDHA)
- Supply Chain Management (CDSC)
- Interdisciplinary Studies (CDIS)
What is Cybersecurity Data Analytics?
Cybersecurity data analytics is the intersection of two of the most in-demand fields today. Data analytics examines large data sets to identifying patterns and trends that can then create insights for informed decision-making. When applied to cybersecurity it can identify what attacks are happening and why to provide insight into future attacks to create new defenses.
