CAB Committees


COMMITTEES

The Campus Activities Board is comprised of seven committees. Each committee is headed by a Chair and Assistant Chair and brings a variety of events to campus. Click below for more information on each of the committees.

Member Relations The Member Relations (MR) Committee is responsible for the recruitment and retention of general body members known as "Cabbies". The MR committee encourages timely communication between the general body membership and the leadership team. The committee is charged with assessing the membership experience.
Public Relations The Public Relations (PR) Committee seek to project CAB in the best light possible. They are responsible for the marketing/advertising efforts of CAB including, but not limited to, website, the Herald, radio, social media outlets, and other media sources. The PR Committee coordinates the creation and distribution of all publicity and marketing for each event, including and distributing posters and handbills, and participating in chalking for events.
Concert The Concert Committee is responsible for the planning and implementation of concerts and other live entertainment for the WKU campus community. All of the events for this committee are music related. Programs typically include events such as Homecoming Concert, Night Class showcases, dance parties, local band concerts, and DJs.
Film The Film Committee is responsible for organizing public screenings of films during the academic ear. This involves selecting films as well as reserving, setting up, and breaking down equipment. The films selected range from classic, independent features, documentaries, international movies, and of course, latest box-office hits! The committee has also been known to use its funds to purchase films for the library collection.
Culture & Issues The Culture and Issues Committee is responsible for developing programs that enrich its academic environment through diverse programming that stimulates thought and engagement. The committee also seeks programs that address the diversity of religions, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientation, races, abilities, and the many other types of diversity present in the WKU community.
Late Night & Novelties The Late Night and Novelties Committee is responsible for planning fun, free, and personalized events such as street signs, build a bear, photo booths, etc. that cater to a wide variety of students. These events fall outside the scope of all other events on campus.
Special Events The Special Events Committee is responsible for the coordination of programs, festivals and unique activities and establishing traditions on campus that fall outside the realm of the other committees, at the discretion of the president. This committee programs events such as CAB's M.A.S.T.E.R. Plan Social, Football Tailgates, Big Red's Roar, CAB-OOM and other various activities.
