Outcome Measures

Measure 1

Completer Impact on P-12 Learning & Effectiveness (Initial)

At WKU we monitor the impact that our graduates (completers) have on the learning of their students in the classroom. This graph compares the average annual growth of students in classrooms taught by WKU completers as compared to those taught by non-WKU completers. The data are scores obtained from the Fastbridge Universal Screening tool and Hought-Mifflin Growth measure utilized by the Warren County Public Schools. By providing access to these data, WCPS plays a critical role in aiding the EPP to conduct a comparative analysis of educational outcomes between completers and those educated elsewhere. Results from the reading and math screeners during the past academic year indicate WKU completers’ ability to positively influence student learning.

Measure 3

Candidate Competency & Program Completion (Initial)

PRAXIS Exam

The standardized assessment measures candidate content knowledge. This test is required for teacher certification in the state of Kentucky.

Measure 2

Satisfaction of Employers & Stakeholder Involvement (Initial)

Warren County Public Schools (WCPS) administrators gather regularly for district-wide leadership planning. WKU representatives, leveraging relationships with key stakeholders, had the opportunity to conduct focus groups with district principals. The focus groups, each occurring during the spring 2024 semester, were split between elementary and middle/secondary principals. Summaries of the principal responses, including areas of strength and opportunities for growth are provided in the links below.

Employer Satisfaction

Stakeholder Involvement

The Education Advisory Board meets throughout the year to provide input into all the education programs at WKU. The board is comprised of principals, superintendents, teachers, partners, alumni, and community members.

Ability of Completers to be Hired (Initial)

Completer Data from the KYSTATS Teacher Preparation Feedback Report

Title II Higher Education Act

The U.S. Department of Education, state education agencies, teacher preparation providers, local education agencies, national organizations, researchers, journalists, and others have requested Title II data for various purposes. As the only comprehensive national data collection on teacher preparation and credentialing, Title II data provides important data on the teacher workforce.
