WKU Forensics Team wins St. Anselm College tournament

Members of WKU Forensics Team competed in tournament hosted virtually by St. Anselm College. The WKU Forensics Team captured the team sweepstakes championship at a tournament held virtually by St. Anselm College on February 11.
In addition to team success, two WKU students placed in the top five of Triathlon for their finishes across three different events. Junior Reggie Jefferson of Houston, Texas, placed second and junior Samantha Sallee of Danville, Kentucky, placed fifth.
In team sweepstakes, WKU finished ahead of John Carroll University, Harvard University, and Butler University.
This weekend, the WKU Forensics Team will continue virtual competition and finalize preparation for the upcoming state competition.

- Duo Interpretation: Reggie Jefferson and Samantha Sallee, 1st.
- Impromptu Speaking: Reggie Jefferson, 1st.
- Informative Speaking: Danielle Williams of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, 2nd; Caroline Chubb of Lewis Center, Ohio, 3rd.
- Persuasive Speaking: Shainna Ralston of Eldorado, Illinois, 1st; Caitlyn Woitena of Houston, Texas, 3rd.
- Poetry Interpretation: Mauricio Patino of Stockton, California, 1st; Reggie Jefferson, 2nd.
- Program Oral Interpretation: Jonah Johnson of Burnsville, Minnesota, 1st.
- Prose Interpretation: Cece Alali of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 1st; Kirsten Eversmann of Harrisburg, Illinois, 2nd.
