The WKU Panhellenic Association was one of 20 nationwide to win the 2023-24 Community Impact Award from the National Panhellenic Conference.
“This award is a reflection of our council's hard work, heart for service, and commitment to uniting our Panhellenic community under a common goal,” said Anne-Marie Wright, Panhellenic Council President. “This group of women continues to inspire me daily, and having the opportunity to work alongside them is something I will forever cherish."
The Panhellenic Council at WKU is the governing body of the nine National Panhellenic Conference sororities on campus, as well as local sorority, Sigma Alpha, and the service sorority, Omega Phi Alpha.
The NPC, the largest advocacy and support organization for the women’s sorority experience, recognized College Panhellenic Associations for their accomplishments in Panhellenic operations and work to support the women’s-only sorority experience during 2023-24. College Panhellenic Associations are affiliates of NPC established to enable cooperation among the women’s-only sororities on campus. Each College Panhellenic Association is student-led and composed of all NPC member sorority chapters on the respective campus.
About the National Panhellenic Conference: NPC is the trade association for 26 national and international sororities and is one of the largest organizations advocating for the sorority experience. Through its advocacy, NPC highlights the importance of women’s-only spaces and showcases the transformational power of the sorority experience.
