Robinson elected as SGA president

The new executive council for Western Kentucky University’s Student Government Association was elected last night.
Rush Robinson, a junior from Benton, Kentucky, will begin his term as Student Government Association President. In addition to being Student Body President, Robinson will serve as Student Regent on the WKU Board of Regents.
Savanna Kurtz will begin her term as Student Body Vice President and Gabriel Jerdon will begin his term as Chief Financial Officer.
In the general election held April 13–15, 2025, a total of 966 students voted for President, Student Body Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and student senators.
Three individuals were elected as senior senators: Sophia Bryant, Maggie Yelton and Malachi Humble. Eli Carter, Garrett Price and Caden Lucas were elected as junior senators, and Will Derryberry, Jakob Barker and Molly Ricke were elected as sophomore senators.
Sydney Rettig was elected as the transfer/non-traditional senator, and Christopher Lara will serve as the first-generation senator. Jaden Marshall was elected to represent the Intercultural Student Engagement Center, and Ciin Lun will serve as the Mahurin Honors College senator.
College-specific senators were also elected: Hadley Whipple will represent the Ogden College of Science and Engineering, Karlee Powell will serve the Gordon Ford College of Business, Bradley Wagoner was elected for the College of Health and Human Services, Maggie Phelps for the Potter College of Arts and Letters, and Caroline Yates for the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences.
Thirteen students were elected to serve as senators-at-large: Emily Reinneck, Zoe Martin, Gabi Pace, Julianna Mitchell, Cayden Bailey, Veronica Butler, Miles Harvey, Evan Tuck, Jade Ismail, Nolan Rongey, Lincoln Fasoldt, Simon Petruska and Ethan Veitze.
