- It’s once a mascot, always a mascot for WKU alumnus Jeremy Sharfe: Jeremy Sharfe of Louisville has spent the last 13 years working as a high school guidance counselor, and he just recently accepted the position of Assistant Principal at Greenwood Elementary. “I love working with students and having the opportunity to advocate for them,” said Sharfe. It’s what he does outside of the classroom, however, that is getting everyone to stand up and cheer. “I have been Buddy Bat, the Louisville Bats Minor League Baseball team mascot, for 16 years now,” stated Sharfe.
