WKU Admissions planning student recruitment events

WKU’s Office of Admissions is planning several events this fall for prospective students and their families.
DiscoverWKU events
DiscoverWKU is an event that takes place in communities around the country. Prospective students and their families can learn more about the opportunities available at WKU. There will be an admissions presentation at every DiscoverWKU event, so students can learn more about becoming a Hilltopper. High school seniors will be eligible to win a $500 scholarship or a VIP campus visit experience.
The DiscoverWKU schedule is as follows:
- Evansville, Indiana: 7 p.m. CT Sept. 9 at DoubleTree by Hilton Evansville, 601 Walnut St., Evansville, Indiana.
- Owensboro: 7 p.m. CT Sept. 10 at Bluegrass Hall of Fame & Museum, 311 W. Second St., Owensboro.
- Lexington: 7 p.m. ET Sept. 16 at Signature Club of Lansdowne, 3256 Lansdowne Drive, Lexington.
- Northern Kentucky: 7 p.m. ET Sept. 17 at Receptions Banquet, 1379 Donaldson Highway, Erlanger.
- Louisville: 7 p.m. ET Sept. 18 at Louisville Marriott East, 1903 Embassy Square Blvd., Louisville.
- Bowling Green: 7 p.m. CT Sept. 23 at Downing Student Union on WKU’s main campus.
- Nashville, Tennessee: 7 p.m. CT Sept. 30 at Four Points by Sheraton Nashville-Brentwood, 760 Old Hickory Blvd. Brentwood, Tennessee.
- Somerset: 7 p.m. ET Oct. 1 at the Center for Rural Development, 2292 U.S. 27 #300, Somerset.
- Elizabethtown: 7 p.m. ET Oct. 16 at Hardin County Schools Early College and Career Center (EC3), 200 University Drive, Elizabethtown.
- Hopkinsville: 7 p.m. CT Oct. 22 at Holiday Inn Hopkinsville, 2910 Fort Campbell Blvd., Hopkinsville.

Head for The Hill events
WKU Admissions will host Head for The Hill events on Sept. 7 and Nov. 11.
Head for The Hill will begin at 8 a.m. in Diddle Arena. The free, open house event offers a comprehensive look at WKU’s outstanding academic offerings, student activities and beautiful campus. Sessions are offered to provide valuable information about life on The Hill, and an information expo allows students and their families the opportunity to personally connect with representatives from different academic departments, student services, housing, financial aid and more.

Multicultural Preview Day
WKU Admissions will host Multicultural Preview Day at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 21 at Downing Student Union.
The Multicultural Preview Day is an on campus event dedicated to showcasing resources for multicultural students. This is an opportunity for guests to spend a day on The Hill touring campus, meeting with academic departments, and engaging with current students and faculty members that make up the spirit of WKU. All students in attendance at the event also have the opportunity to win a scholarship! Bilingual sessions in Spanish will be available.
