1rst class Introduction to Environmental Education

ENVE 520 - Introduction to Environmental Education

This course provides students with an introduction to the field of environmental education. It includes basic history and philosophy, methodologies, resources for formal and non-formal educators, and current trends in the field. It is taught primarily through a series of hands-on experiences, simulations, and reflective discussion. (3 hours - offered as a second bi-term class in the fall & spring semesters)

2nd class for ENVE 560

ENVE 560 - Investigating and Evaluating Environmental Issues

This course is specifically designed for teachers and other educators. This course focuses on the identification and evaluation of specific environmental issues, leading to possible environmental/service action projects by their students with attention to the potential outcomes of such projects on the physical environment, other humans, and other living things. (3 hours - offered fall & spring semesters)
