Planning your Standard Guidance Certification, P-12, and Rank I Program
- Immediately after you are admitted to a P-12, Standard Guidance, or Rank I program and before you register for courses, your FIRST STEP is to complete a Form C with your advisor. This will ensure that the courses you complete apply to your program and help you plan when you will take courses. The courses listed on your Form C will be determined by your previous degree program, courses you completed prior to admission, and your professional interests as a school counselor. The elective course should clearly be related to the work of a school counselor. Talking with your advisor will help clarify program requirements.
- See http://www.wku.edu/csa/sc/rank1.php for specific program requirements.
Possible and required P-12, Standard Guidance, or Rank I courses are listed here along with the semesters the courses are commonly offered to help you plan your program.* |
