One year ago today, WKU's Richard Gelderman was in Palu, Indonesia, for the last total eclipse on Earth until the one Kentucky will see on August 21, 2017. What began as a trip to test equipment and procedures for science experiments became an international collaboration bringing together students from WKU and Indonesia. Standing under the shadow of the Moon as it swept across Indonesia was also an incredible experience that has inspired Dr. Gelderman to plan to share our eclipse with as many students as possible. To watch the Sun disappear in the middle of the day....a once in a lifetime event for Bowling Green.
See how WKU had international reach!
