Slips & trips have accounted for approximately 40% of WKU's lost time and restricted duty injuries, and represent up to 45% of WKU's total Workers' Compensation costs.
Slips & trips are the most common type of accident resulting in injury for WKU employees in Academic and Research departments.
If you notice a slip or trip hazard, you can:
- Correct the hazard
- Report it to your supervisor
- Submit a Work Order Request, or
- Submit a Safety Concern Report on the EH&S website
