Doubleheader

The Intercultural Student Engagement Center (ISEC) sponsors WKU’s May graduation celebration for students who identify as Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Native American, or Multiracial.  Administrators, faculty, staff, classmates, and friends will gather to celebrate the students' accomplishments. Learn more.

The Lavender Recognition Ceremony is an annual event that builds on the university-wide commencement activities. The ceremony celebrates and recognizes the achievements and contributions of our LGBTQ and Ally graduates to the WKU community. The event is held during the spring semester. Learn more.

Please join us in honor of our international student graduates from around the world at the WKU International Graduation Reception. Graduating students will be celebrated with a sash and pinning ceremony on behalf of GLIA. Light refreshments will be served.

2019 Spring Commencement will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium. Special Recognition Ceremonies for each of WKU's five academic colleges' graduates will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2019 in E.A. Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2018.  Family, friends, sending school teachers/administrators, and WKU faculty/staff welcome. 

Chi Sigma Iota - Omega Kappa Upsilon, the international counseling honor society, sponsors the Department of Counseling and Student Affairs' counseling graduate hooding ceremony. Administrators, faculty, staff, classmates, family, and friends are welcome to join us in celebrating the students' achievements.

Bring your friends and family to come celebrate your achievements with the EALR department! This annual event allows graduating Organizational Leadership Master students to be individually recognized and “hooded” to signify his or her success in completing their Graduate program. We will also be individually recognizing Organizational Leadership Undergraduate and Educational Leadership Doctoral students for completing their degrees. This ceremony is celebrated with some of the professors and peers graduates have worked alongside throughout their educational careers. The Center for Gifted Studies is proud to host the Kentucky Recognition Ceremony for the Duke Talent Identification Program.

The Duke University Talent Identification Program is a nonprofit educational organization founded in 1980 and is a major leader in identifying academically talented students and providing innovative programs to support the optimal development of their educational potential.

Western Kentucky University has hosted the Kentucky Recognition Ceremony for Duke's Talent Identification Program since 1982. Each May, some of the most academically talented seventh graders in the Commonwealth are honored at WKU. These students took the ACT or SAT and earned qualifying scores.
