As a public event space, the Planetarium can--for a fee--be a venue for any out-of-the-world
experience you can imagine. Click any of the below to fill out a request form for

Birthdays are always a favorite, but any meeting can work. We also do marriage proposals
and weddings, professional retreats, and meetings of many kinds. For this kind of
event the Planetarium is effectively two things: a space and an optional Star Chamber
show. You can use the outer ring to set up refreshments and other activities (which
you bring) and you may also use the Star Chamber. You can also include a planetarium
show to help make the occasion truly memorable.
Cost for the space: $100 for the first hour and fifteen minutes, $40 for each additional
thirty minutes. Cost for addition of Star Chamber show: $90 for forty-five minutes;
several shows from which you can choose, or the dome can be used to display just about
If you simply want a forty-five minute show during regular business hours, that is
only $60; outside of regular business hours is $90.
Requests must be submitted at least two weeks in advance.
Custom-designed shows can be requested, with prices quoted.

Elementary and middle school teachers routinely bring students for shows. But this

bring, so we can prepare staff.

Wheelchair Accessibility: A ramp from State St. provides access to the building's main floor. The below lots
are only available on weekends or after 4:30 PM.
1) Two spots in a tiny lot behind the building, at the end of a driveway from State
St. That lot is lower than the building, so it is an uphill climb.
2) Three spots in the lot between Ogden College Hall and Kelly Thompson Hall.
