I was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee. I came to WKU in 2012 and earned my B.A. in Psychology in 2016. After a brief period, I returned to WKU and completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 2019. In the Master’s program at WKU, I gained experience in administering, interpreting, and reporting a variety of psychological assessments, as well as administering psychotherapy to clients. I am currently a Doctoral Student enrolled in the Doctorate of Psychology program at WKU and am excited to see what the future brings! In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing guitar, playing videogames, and spending time with friends and family.
I believe that anyone who is willing to learn and grow can benefit from counseling. I practice within the Cognitive-Behavioral Model, while also utilizing some aspects of the Person-Centered approach to therapy. I stress that we are human beings, and that we are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them, we are allowed to say “no” and set boundaries, we are allowed to seek and ask for help, and we are allowed to unapologetically change. In a few words, sessions with me involve setting objective goals, homework, experimentation, and psychoeducation. I strive to work with each student on an individual level and focus on the needs of each person.
