The MHC HonorsToppers

Hello! I'm Aurora Speltz and I will be a junior this year. I'm so excited to serve the Honors College as an HonorsTopper and make connections with prospective students. I also serve as the sophomore representative to the Honors Development Board and am a member of the Out In Honors Network. My VIP tour allowed me to see WKU's campus in ways that benefitted me as an individual, instead of as one of a large group of students all with different needs, and I can't wait to provide that experience to you.

Though my freshman experience was not traditional because of the pandemic, I felt supported by the Honors College more than I ever thought possible, and I hope to be able to support you in a similar way during your college search. I also felt extremely supported throughout my sometimes-difficult sophomore year, despite the eight-hour time difference in the first semester. I have had many opportunities to perform undergraduate research and benefit from international experiences through Honors. I am a big proponent of study abroad and using all the resources the College offers to achieve your Big Dreams, to borrow Dr. C's words.
