The MHC HonorsToppers

Hi there! 

My name is Emma Thorn, and I am so honored to be an MHC Scholar and a first year Honorstopper! My major is Biochemistry with a concentration in pre-pharmacy. I am a sophomore on the hill and am involved in Greek life as well as employed off campus. I am from a small town in far west Kentucky called Benton, KY, which is around 45 minutes south of Paducah, and I attended Marshall County High School. Throughout campus, you may see me dancing it up during a dance fitness class at the Preston center, hanging out in the Commons, or grabbing lunch at Davinci’s (my favorite restaurant on campus)! 

I chose WKU because of the home away from home atmosphere, the beautiful campus, and all of the incredible opportunities available here! I can truly say I’ve received all of that and more, and I am so blessed to have found my people and my place. The Mahurin College has provided me with such great opportunities, and I am so lucky to be a member of this community! I would love to share that with you and be a part of your college decision-making journey!
