The Biology Major is designed to provide students with a foundation in the fundamental concepts and principles of Biology.  Through completion of the major, students gain sufficient knowledge to take the PRAXIS test, Biology: Content Knowledge.

The Biology Major does not directly lead to teacher certification.  Additional coursework in teacher education is required.  See Science and Math Education (SMED) for additional information regarding teacher certification in each specific state/territory.
