Our latest research indicates that Washington does not require professional licensure or certification in Accountancy to operate within the state.
This 30-hour program, designed for students entering with a bachelor’s degree of 120 or more hours, will allow you to sit for the CPA exam, but completing this program alone will not make you a licensed professional accountant in any state.
To become a Certified Public Accountant, you must:
Complete 150 semester hours of education.
Pass the CPA Exam.
Meet other state-specific and professional requirements (e.g., examinations, background checks, years of experience, etc.) as necessary.
Please note that licensure requirements can change. We strongly recommend that prospective and current students directly consult the Washington State Board of Accountancy (https://acb.wa.gov/) to confirm all current licensure/certification requirements. For information on licensure/certification in other states, please also consult their relevant state licensing boards.
