The Middle School Science Major is designed to provide students with a foundation in the fundamental concepts and principles of Science for Middle School Teachers. Through completion of the major, students gain sufficient knowledge to take the PRAXIS test, Middle School Science.

The Middle School Science Major does not directly lead to teacher certification. Additional coursework in teacher education is required. See Science and Math Education (SMED) for additional information regarding teacher certification in each specific state/territory.
