52 Students Attend 2013 "The Summer Camp"

The Center for Gifted Studies at WKU hosted 52 campers for the 2nd annual The Summer Camp from July 15 to July 19, 2013.
Located on the campus of Western Kentucky University, The Summer Camp is a day camp designed for advanced ability and high interest children who have completed grades one, two, three, or four during the previous school year. This year, The Summer Camp’s theme was Creativity.
Young people from 15 Kentucky school districts, four Kentucky private schools, one Kentucky Diocese and three states across the country participated in The Summer Camp.
Students attended five classes each day, including Acting, Art, Clowning, Language Arts and Science.
Students also took part in fun activities ranging from a rocket launch to a cookout on the final day.
The dates for the 3rd year of The Summer Camp are July 14 to 18, 2014.
