WKU Police training June 23 at Thompson Complex North Wing
- Friday, June 20th, 2014
On Monday (June 23), the WKU Police Department will be conducting an active shooter training exercise inside the Thompson Complex North Wing.
From about 9 a.m. to noon, members of WKU Police will work with the tactical team from the Medical Center Emergency Medical Services, the Bowling Green Fire Department and WKU’s Environment, Health and Safety Office. The exercise will include the use of a smoke machine and simulated ammunition. This exercise is designed to give WKU officers additional, hands-on training and strengthen working relationships with other agencies. For information, contact WKU PD at (270) 745-2548.
Also over the next two weeks, WKU Environment, Health and Safety will be conducting training in Thompson Complex North Wing with other local agencies.
The building was permanently closed in late January and eventually will be razed as part of a renovation and expansion of the Thompson Complex Center Wing.
Contact: Capt. Dominic Ossello, (270) 745-2548.
