- Wednesday, August 26th, 2015
The Gordon Ford College of Business’s Online Business Administration Program is ranked 7th nationally among online programs for 2015, according to the SuperScholar Smart Choice Best Online Bachelor’s in Business Administration Degree list.
Programs making the list were evaluated and ranked based on recognition and awards; accreditation, flexibility and accessibility; and affordability, according to a press release from SuperScholar.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports in the Occupational Outlook Handbook that employment in business and financial occupations is projected to grow 17 to 19 percent through 2020. Obtaining a degree in Business Administration helps students develop a wide range of marketable business skills across many business disciplines.
“It is gratifying to learn the Gordon Ford College of Business online undergraduate degree program has been recently recognized by SuperScholar as among the top 10 Best Online Bachelor in Business Administration programs in 2015,” said Jeffrey Katz, Dean of the GFCB. “As an applied College of business that is accredited in business and accounting by AACSB International, our faculty are among the very best in the world. We take pride in providing excellent programs – online as well as face-to-face – for our students.”
WKU’s online program, entitled the Plus 2 Business Administration program, is designed for students who have already earned an associate degree and wish to complete a bachelor degree, according to Dr. Paula Potter, Chair for the Department of Management.
“There are several advantages for students who wish to continue their education without having to move to Bowling Green,” Potter said. “Students can move through the program at their own pace, students learn from the same professors who teach on WKU’s main campus, and students who have earned an associate degree from a KCTCS institution may qualify for up to $4,000 in scholarships.”
The Plus 2 program is housed in the Gordon Ford College of Business, which is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and one of 182 institutions internationally accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business in both its business and accounting programs.
