Eezy and Jeremy Reiss from Twitter’s design team have scheduled a Meetup event on May 25 at Eezy's office in WKU's Small Business Accelerator at the Center for Research and Development.

Professionals strive for the career that allows them to incorporate their passions and enjoy the work experience. During the conversation between Eezy (a tenant of WKU's Small Business Accelerator) and Reiss, Reiss will share his career path, a lot of the work produced during that time, how his personal passion project opened some big doors, and what he learned along the way.

 “I’m looking forward to being back in my home state sharing my journey of how a little personal project helped land my dream job at Twitter,” Reiss said.

Reiss is from Louisville and graduated from Georgetown College and Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). He has 17 years of graphic design experience within agency work and entrepreneurial opportunities. The companies that have provided opportunities for Reiss consist of The Vimarc Group, Red7e, LEAP Digital and Twitter. Since August 2013, Reiss has been a member of Twitter’s Design Team. While working on the product design team, he is responsible for app iconography design, emoji illustration and art direction. And when time allows he takes on fun, miscellaneous graphic design projects for different teams at Twitter.

The Meetup is a great tool of insight about career building in the fields of social media and graphic design, as well as networking. It will also provide the confidence and reassurance that it is possible to be successful when following a path filled with passion.

The event will take place at 5:30 p.m. May 25 in the Eezy main offices at 2413 Nashville Road Suite 119, Bowling Green. It is free to the public but it is recommended to RSVP at meetup.com because seating is limited. This is a co-sponsored event with Eezy and the WKU Small Business Accelerator in the Center for Research and Development.
