Free Blood Draw during Spring Break & at Employee Health Fair

Spring Break & Employee Health Fair Free Blood Draw Health Screening
** Two opportunities to take advantage of this valuable health screening **
This is a Free health screening for all Benefits-Eligible WKU Employees.
Blood draw health screening includes:
For everyone: Cholesterol (Total, LDL, HDL), Triglycerides, and Glucose.
Additionally for females 40 & older: Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
Additionally for males 45 & older: Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA)
In order to most effectively serve employees in this screening, ONLY the above lab tests will be conducted. Health Services will be happy to make a separate appointment for you outside of this screening to conduct other lab tests that you may require. Thank you.
Fasting Requirements: Participants must fast from food and beverages for at least 8 hours (preferably 12 hours) before they have their blood drawn. However, participants should drink some water during their fast.

During Spring Break Week: Monday, March 9th - Friday, March 13th, 2009
Times: 8:00am - 11:00am
Location: Health Services Bldg.

Please call 745-5641 or come into Health Services to make an appointment.
Lab results: Participants are responsible for picking up their own results. Participants in SB blood draw, please pick up your results at Health Services starting Wednesday, March 18th.

Opportunity Two:
During 8th Annual Employee Health Fair: Friday, April 3, 2009
Time: 7:30am - 11:00am
Location: Health Services Bldg. (Next to Preston where health fair will take place.)
No appointment necessary day of health fair; first come, first served.
Lab results: Participants are responsible for picking up their own results. Participants in Health Fair blood draw, please pick up your results at Health Services starting Thursday, April 9th.
Please Note: Participation in either Free Blood Draw Health Screening does not count toward the wellness incentive, which is earned by taking the online HRA, attending the Health Fair, and attending an HRA Follow-up session. More information on the Health Promotion Trifecta will be posted on the Employee Wellness website in the coming weeks: www.wku.edu/wellness.
