Kacy Caboni has been named Director of Principal Gifts & Special Initiatives within WKU’s Division of Development and Alumni Relations.
Caboni, who most recently served as Development Director and Team Leader for the University of Kansas Endowment Association with a focus on fundraising for the School of Business, will join WKU on July 3.
With more than 13 years of higher education fundraising experience, Caboni has contributed to multiple capital campaigns for both the University of Kansas and Kansas State University. She has extensive experience in producing private support and has demonstrated her ability to work closely and successfully with leadership, faculty and staff.
John Paul Blair, WKU’s Interim Vice President for Development & Alumni Relations, said he values Caboni’s experience. “WKU has former development team members whose careers have led to positions in the SEC, Big Ten and Big 12, so we are delighted to gain Kacy’s 13 years of experience with two exceptional Big 12 institutions in the University of Kansas and Kansas State University,” he said. “Kacy has a strong record of fostering philanthropic outcomes and we are excited by the impact she will have working with alumni and friends to help shape WKU’s future through their private support.”
“I’m honored to be joining the WKU family,” said Caboni. “I look forward to growing philanthropic support of the University and continuing to elevate its national stature with my development colleagues.”
As the Director of Principal Gifts & Special Initiatives, Caboni will work with WKU benefactors and prospective donors to garner private support to advance the University.
