Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to Open GFCB on Fountain Square
- Monday, July 31st, 2017
The Gordon Ford College of Business will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Tuesday, August 8 at 4:30 p.m. to officially welcome the College to Downtown Bowling Green’s Pushin Building.
John and Carolyn Ridley, owners of the Pushin Building, donated 5,000 square feet of space in that building to the College of Business for three years lease-free and have provided additional funds for improving the space to fit the College’s needs.
“We believe in education,” said Mr. Ridley. “The gift of education is an investment in our future. We recognize that we have been blessed in our careers and that we have a responsibility to help others. We are grateful to be able to pay it forward by supporting the Gordon Ford College of Business.”
The MBA program plans to use a renovated portion of the office space to host classes while several Centers of Excellence will use the office space for meetings and training seminars.
“As a student-centered, applied College of Business, we are delighted to extend classroom learning to the business center for Warren County through Centers of Excellence that provide real-world training for our students. We are very thankful to Mr. and Mrs. Ridley for their vision and generosity that made this important extension of our programs possible,” said Dr. Jeff Katz, Dean of the Gordon Ford College of Business.
Tours of the GFCB on Fountain Square will be held immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony.
