Medical Assistant attends AMT Conference

Mitzi Allen, RMA/X-ray tech attended the 2009 American Medical Technologist conference in Minneapolis, MN. She attended several classes which included a hands-on workshop on venipuctures and injections, vaccine safety issues and challenges, and patient safety in the physician's office. By attending the conference Mitzi obtained continuing education units towards maintaining her RMA certification and had opportunities to exchange information with the other attendees on policies and procedures of other offices.
The AMT Meeting:
- Provides an organized learning experience to update and expand the practitioner's knowledge in the medical technology, medical assisting, and allied health professions.
- Provides members with an opportunity to participate in the business meeting of AMT.
- Facilities social and professional interaction.
