- WKU Center for Citizenship and Social Justice
- Tuesday, January 30th, 2018
The WKU Center for Citizenship & Social Justice invites the campus and broader community to join us from 4-5 p.m. Feb. 13 at Downing Student Union, room 2123, for the first lecture in 2018 of its “Second Tuesday Salons”, a lecture series for WKU faculty, staff, students, and community members to gather and discuss complex contemporary issues. The typical format of “Second Tuesday Salons” includes a short presentation on a topic, followed by facilitated discussion.
“Second Tuesday Salons” will be held monthly during the 2018 Spring semester in February, March and April. Dr. Kate Horigan of the WKU Department of Folk Studies and Anthropology will lead the first salon lecture. Dr. Horigan will present “Remembering Genocide and Preserving Culture."
Second Tuesday Salons are open to anyone interested in participating. Refreshments will be provided.
