• WKU named Diversity & Inclusion Champion in International Education: WKU has taken a leap forward in its diversity and inclusion efforts, receiving a prestigious award from Diversity Abroad. WKU has been named the Diversity & Inclusion Champion in the 2018 Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion in International Education (EDIIE) Awards.
• WKU Department of Finance to Host Personal Financial Planning Symposium: Five of the country’s top experts in the financial planning profession are scheduled to converge upon the Knicely Conference Center on Wednesday (Feb. 7) to share knowledge and advice with more than 150 financial planning professionals and students at the WKU Personal Financial Planning Symposium. The day begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. and will provide qualified attendees with six hours of Certified Financial Planning Continuing Education credit.
• 2018 Winter Weather Communications Plan: Check out a reminder about WKU’s winter weather communications plan that provides a number of ways you can find out if classes are delayed, canceled or if a campus is closed.
• WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. • Women’s basketball: Lady Toppers Down Florida Atlantic, 82-63, for Fifth Straight Win: Tashia Brown and Ivy Brown each recorded double-doubles and Raneem Elgedawy added 15 points as WKU's 32-point second quarter carried the Lady Toppers past Florida Atlantic, 82-63, on Saturday afternoon inside E.A. Diddle Arena. Next: WKU vs. Old Dominion at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
• Men’s basketball: Offensive Woes Cost Hilltoppers in 74-63 Loss at UTSA: WKU could never get anything going from the outset Saturday afternoon, falling 74-63 at UTSA. The loss snapped a five-game road winning streak for the Hilltoppers (16-7 overall, 8-2 Conference USA), who had also won four straight on the road against league opponents. Next: WKU vs. FAU at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
• Football: Woods Joins Hilltopper Coaching Staff to Direct Offensive Line: His offensive lines have paved the way for a Doak Walker Award winner and set records for rushing offense, and now TJ Woods is set to bring that coaching acumen to The Hill as he joins Mike Sanford's coaching staff as offensive line coach. "The addition of TJ Woods to our program is a game-changer for our offensive line unit," Sanford said. "He has overseen dominant rushing attacks at the highest level of college football. I look forward to working directly with TJ to produce a balanced and explosive offense on The Hill in 2018 and beyond."

• WKU recognized for diversity, inclusion efforts: WKU has earned recognition for its diversity and inclusion efforts from a group dedicated to expanding access to global education opportunities.
• WKU history department to hold forum on race, memory and the Civil War: More than 150 years after the American Civil War pitted brother against brother, discussions and disagreements over the war’s legacies have stoked recent protests and violence nationally. At 6:30 p.m. Monday, four WKU historians will engage the public in a forum, “Uncivil: Race, Memory, and the Civil War,” in the auditorium at Jody Richards Hall on the WKU campus. The event is free and open to the public.
• After Texas split, Tops head home looking for lost swagger: Justin Johnson didn’t hold back Saturday evening – not about his team or his own play. “That was bad. No ifs, ands, buts or anyway to put it. That was bad,” the senior forward said after WKU’s 74-63 loss to Texas San Antonio. “It starts with me and Darius (Thompson) and Dwight (Coleby), us as seniors and where we step out and are ready to play. We come out and we weren’t ready to play. They knocked us in the mouth and we didn’t respond. No easy way of putting it, we just got our butt kicked tonight.”
